Mutual of Enumclaw works exclusively with local independent agents to offer insurance products for individuals, families, farms, and businesses. We currently operate in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Montana and Wyoming.
The Farm Lines Rater I reports to an Underwriting Manager and is a part of the Underwriting team. The Farm Lines Rater I is primarily responsible for providing timely and efficient processing of all transactions throughout the lifecycle of a policy. These transactions include but are not limited to quotes, policy issuance, endorsements, forms, cancellations, legal notification letters, exclusions, and other documentation.
Location: The successful candidate will work remotely but must be located in one of our 7 states of business, WA, ID, OR, UT, MT, WY and AZ, they will be able to work during our core Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours, and must have high-speed internet (internet speed test required).
Farm Lines Rater I
Hiring Range: $44,477 - $50,692*
Salary Range: $44,477 - $57,335
Candidates having more experience may be considered for a Farm Lines Rater II or III position. Compensation and position will be commensurate with experience.
Farm Lines Rater II
Hiring Range: $48,277 - $52,948*
Salary Range: $48,277 - $58,723
Farm Lines Rater III
Hiring Range: $53,762 - $59,738*
Salary Range: $53,762 - $67,789
The hiring range represents Mutual of Enumclaw’s current hiring pay scale for this role. Mutual of Enumclaw reserves the right to modify or update this range any time. Responsibilities:
- Order and/or run all requisite reports (MVR, CLUE, etc.) as necessary.
- Maintain the team service level agreements as well as production with an output of high-quality work in a high production-based environment.

Follow up on requests for information and escalate as necessary.
- Work on daily and weekly reports while maintaining daily production and quality standards.
- Process manual transactions as needed such as letters, calculate premiums, and prepare other documents as required; including proper legal notification to insureds.

Perform effective and efficient data entry, data validation, and quality assurance to ensure the correctness and accuracy of rating data.

Document rating and account information adequately and properly.

Provide support for special projects as assigned.

Adhere to Department procedures and regulatory requirements.

Identify, innovate, and suggest new procedures, and/or opportunities to streamline Department processing, record-keeping systems, and practices.

Make recommendations, and help implement procedural changes as directed.

Provide training and support for the Underwriting team as needed.

Provide responsive and effective telephone support for internal and external calls; research and answer questions about work items or status.

Adjust to unpredictable fluctuations in workload and volume while maintaining focus on quality and superior customer service.
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to adhere to schedule and attendance requirements.
- Must be able to meet requirements for after-hour, on-call, and weekend work as necessary.

Experience in Microsoft Suite of products is preferred.

Great attention to detail: Must verify information, carefully monitor details and check for completeness.

Education and Experience:

Associate's degree in Business Administration, preferred

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 0-3+ years' administrative experience, preferably in the property and casualty insurance and/or financial services industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, including video conferencing.
