We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic, and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant to join our veterinary team. The position is offering full-time employment. Only candidates with at least 1 year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field will be considered. Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written, is essential.

The candidate will be assisting Dr. Noelle McNabb, the only board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist in the San Fernando Valley, with over 25 years’ experience in the field. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets with a warm, friendly and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in computer systems for appointment scheduling and record keeping.
- Answer phone calls and emails, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk area and lobby.
- Handle financial transactions, including processing payments, insurance documents and managing invoices.
- Collect, update and document patient medical records and history.
- Assist the doctor and veterinary technicians with examinations and various patient procedures.
- Advise and educate clients regarding patient care prescribed by the doctor in person, via mail, and phone.
- Must be able to lift 45 pounds, stand or walk for 10 hours per day.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the work areas, including the reception area, lobby, exam rooms, and kennels.
- Assist in the stocking and maintenance of the patient exam rooms and reception area,
- Assist filling medications as prescribed by the doctor.

Qualifications:
-Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is required.
-Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology is a plus.
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
-Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
-High level knowledge of the English language; both written and verbal skills.
-Proficiency in typing and basic computer skills.
