Job Description
Jersey Mikes Subs is looking to build a strong team of warm and friendly crew members while offering a happy and pleasant experience to customers by creating the perfect sub with a smile. If you are an enthusiastic, outgoing, detail oriented person, then this job is for you!
General Managers are responsible for the complete and total management of a Jersey Mike's store / operation, including:
- Store sales
- Staff development and training
- Customer satisfaction
- P&L responsibility and accountability (target for food sales % and payroll %)
- Scheduling
- Inventory management
- Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions
- Place food, produce, beverage and store supply orders;
- Use basic PC tools like MS Excel, Word & the Internet;
- Manage food, paper and labor costs;
Basic Requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated, service-oriented, and friendly
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Work well with a team of crew members
- Capability to learn skills quickly
- Possess cleanliness and organizational skills
- Food service experience is a plus (although not required)
- Has the ability to lead
Keep in Mind our Managers also need to:
- Respond positively and quickly to customer concerns and correct problems before they affect the brand.
- Supervise and direct employees customarily and regularly during work hours.
- Work independently and use own discretion and judgment in executing duties and responsibilities.
- Train, coach, and provide performance feedback to motivate and improve all employees.
- Evaluate employees performance and hold employees accountable for meeting performance standards.
- Make employment decisions regarding: hiring, discipline, advancement, termination, compensation.
- Analyze business performance, monitor controllable costs, and initiate appropriate actions when necessary.
- Utilize labor effectively while ensuring our highest standards of quality.
- Ensure business and personnel practices are conducted according to state and federal laws and consistent with Jersey Mikes policies and procedures.
- Uphold company food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements to ensure health and safety of customer and employees.
Qualifications for the job:
- management experience is preferred but we are willing to hire the right candidate who stands out and who may not have experience but who is willing to take on the challenge
- Serve Safe Certification preferred
- Must have reliable transportation
Compensation
salary commensurate with experience 46K-57K
SIMPLE IRA w/company matching 3% after one year of employment
WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED
