Our Lafayette campus is seeking a fully qualified (12 ECE units or more) float teacher to work 12-5 p.m. Float teachers get to know all of the children and families, and able to access all of our remarkable professional development opportunities. This is a wonderful position for an early career early educator who wants to learn more about child development and the Reggio Emilia approach!
We are also looking for substitute teachers. Substitute teachers work on-call as they're available for both our Walnut Creek and Lafayette campuses. We require someone willing to travel to multiple locations. Our subs will be able to work as many hours as they'd like, but all around their own schedule and availability. The ideal candidate has at least 6 units of Early Childhood Education courses and is currently taking more, or already has 12 ECE units.
Building relationships is the foundation of our work. We place strong emphasis on the bonds between children and teachers, teachers and parents, and children themselves. Our life together at OFS reflects a delicate and intricate web of social, emotional and intellectual skills that transforms the whole child into a well balanced member of society.
Our program is based on a solid foundation of scientific theory, research and professional practice. Our teaching staff are early childhood educators with degrees in early childhood education, human development or a closely related field. Each one has chosen early childhood education as their long-term career.
