Job Qualifications:
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Experience: At least one year of nursing experience is preferred, particularly in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or peri-operative care.
- Licensure: Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Certifications: Required to have Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is highly desirable.
- Skills: Seeking candidates who are organized, self-motivated, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Under direct supervision, undertake various duties in the peri-operative department.
- Assist with surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently, minimizing delays, and maintaining aseptic technique.
- Under limited supervision, provide individualized patient care by assessing conditions, identifying problems or potential problems, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and evaluating patient care.
Environmental and Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced environment handling both elective and acute/urgent surgical situations.
- Post-surgical/anesthesia interventions may be required.
- Participation in surgical procedures is expected.
- Overtime may be necessary.
- Rotation within the peri-operative department is expected.
Physical Requirements:
- Daily physical activities are part of the role.
- Must be able to stand extensively, sit moderately, assist in patient retraction, and aid in patient transfers with appropriate support.
- Capable of performing CPR.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, handle surgical instruments, and equipment.

- Daily temperature checks and COVID-19 screening for all employees and patients.
- Mandatory face coverings and provision of appropriate PPE for employees.
- Regular sanitizing of high-touch surfaces.
- Installation of plastic barriers at the front desk.
- Availability of hand sanitizer and wash stations throughout the office.
