Job Summary:
The Parking Supervisor will coordinate and oversee multiple locations within an assigned region as well as assist with the scheduling and work of shift employees in the assigned facilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight and assistance with multiple locations within an assigned region.
- Provides training and instruction to parking attendants, cashiers, and/or valet attendants.
- Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of staff and ensures their work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assists and advises operations management with disciplinary and termination recommendations and steps.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Facilitates smooth and efficient operation of the assigned parking garage, lot, or facility.
- Visually inspects all areas of the assigned facilities for safety and/or maintenance concerns.
- Ensures that parking access and revenue control equipment are functional and operational.
- Handles the pickup of cash/revenue on hand, with possibility of tallying, recording, distributing, and balancing cash receipts at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Delegates maintenance and cleaning responsibilities to shift workers; tasks may include cleaning, light trash cleanup, equipment troubleshooting, and basic repairs of equipment.
- Contacts police, fire, or other emergency personnel when accidents or other emergencies arise.
- Courteously handles customer inquiries, complaints, and problems.
- Prepares daily reports, timesheets, and logs, documenting shift operations and any problems or complaints.
- Must have adequate transportation to and from each assigned site in the designated portfolio (vehicle allowance / reimbursement provided)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills, as required to balance cash receipts.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare logs and reports.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout the assigned facility or facilities, at times in the elements (rain, wind, heat, etc.).
- Must be able to visually inspect facilities and physically access all areas in all types of weather.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
