Job Overview:
Acceptance Home Health is seeking experienced PTA’s for all areas of the DFW metroplex. We offer competitive rates and flexible hours. The positions are PRN, 1099 contract. Acceptance Home Health uses Axxess for its documentation system.
Candidates should possess the following:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapist assistant with an associate level degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
Licensure: Active, state license as a physical therapist assistant, or a multi-state license issued by a Physical Therapy
Licensure Compact (PTLC) member state, or if licensure do not apply, meets one of the requirements listed in 42
CFR §484.115(i).
Experience: One year of experience as a physical therapist assistant, home health experience preferred.
Skills: Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies. Good interpersonal skills.
Proof of current CPR certification. Professional liability insurance.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance. Current driver’s license.We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment programs as directed by the physical therapist
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to the therapist
- Instruct patients in exercises and activities of daily living
- Help patients with specific exercises as part of the care plan
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Strong care and compassion for patients
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with occupational health practices
- Understanding of hospital medicine protocols
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques
- Experience or interest in hospital and acute care settings
- Knowledge of orthopedics and geriatric physical therapy
