Seeking a qualified Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician in the Tampa Bay Area and Pinellas County. Purple Square Management Co. Service technicians provide diagnostics, service, repair, maintenance & installation for various brands of kitchen equipment. Purple Square Management Co. Manages 99 Dunkin Donuts throughout Florida. Equipment includes but not limited to: Convection Ovens, Bakery Ovens, Toasters, Sandwich Stations, Coffee Brewers, Expresso Machines, Food warming units and general plumbing. Other job duties as needed.
General Responsibilities:
- Identifies and troubleshoots commercial type cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- Maintains and repairs equipment including coolers, freezers, ice machines and other foodservice equipment.
- Performs general commercial maintenance with associated schedule and unscheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
- Performs troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial foodservice equipment including, but not limited to, refrigeration equipment, cooking equipment (hot side and cold side), and beverage equipment.
- Water Filter Changes.
- Repairs and calibrates controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring.
- Wires and connects motors, pumps, temperature controls, and heating elements are required.
- Services HVAC equipment and Exhaust Fans as needed.
- Maintains detailed records and cost projections and reports information to supervisor.
- Partners with Maintenance & Dispatch staff with regards to ordering parts & tools and ensure service tickets are opened and closed timely.
- Other duties such as electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry as needed. (Limited)
- Ensures customers are always kept informed of repair status.
Requirements/Expectations:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a Kitchen/Refrigeration Equipment Service Technician.
- Travel throughout Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Pasco County Required.
- Proficient knowledge in diagnosing and servicing major brands of light Commercial Equipment. Cold Side. Knowledge in diagnosing and servicing major brands of Reach in Coolers/Freezers, Ice Makers, and Walk in Coolers/Freezers is required.
- Proficient knowledge on Hot Side Equipment included but limited to Convection Ovens, Bakery Ovens, Toasters, Food Warming Equipment, and Sandwich Station.
- Proficient Knowledge in Beverage Equipment including Bunn Coffee Brewers and Expresso Machines.
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Lives in and is willing to travel with the regions specified above.
- Good communicator and time management is required.
- Technology Savvy-Work orders are dispatched through a Maintenance Program.
- Team Player.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- EPA Certification Type II
- Clear MVR (7-year MVR).
- Criminal Background Check.

- Must have own tools for the trade.
