We’re looking for a friendly, outgoing individual with a passion for home decor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of furniture styles and trends, as well as experience working with customers to help them find the perfect products for their homes.
Responsibilities for furniture sales associate
- Maintain knowledge of all vendor products, pricing, options, finishes, details
- Provide knowledge of merchandise to customers, explaining complex features and differences between merchandise and help customers select furniture based on their individual needs and preferences.
- Meet or exceed monthly quarterly and annual sales.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to generate future sales opportunities.
- Resolve customer issues and escalate issues as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Follow up with customers after purchase to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions and pricing changes
- Keep the showroom clean and organized.
- Report any damage or defects in furniture to the manager.
- Attending training sessions and trade shows as needed to stay up to date on industry trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in furniture sales or 3+ years retail experience
- Proven sales experience, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work as a team.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends.
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to upsell and cross-sell products.
- Working knowledge of interior design principles
