Job Summary:
We seek a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to join our Leki Tech 145 Repairstation. The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of quality systems.
Qualification
The Quality Control Manager is not required to hold maintenance certification but must have an in-depth knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 and must also be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and experience of quality assurance processes and auditing.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Quality Control Manager is responsible to the Operations Manager for the overall operation of the Quality Control Department and with the Operations Manager will have the final authority in the releasing to service of appliances and the component parts thereof. In addition, the Quality Control Manager is responsible for directing, planning, and laying out the details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations.
The Quality Control Manager will:
1. Assist, supervise, and direct all personnel assigned to the Quality Control Department.
2. Ensures that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the repair station are completed
3. Determine that all technical data on articles overhauled or repaired by the repair station are kept current with latest revisions. This data includes manufacturer's overhaul manuals, service bulletins, part specifications, related FAA-approved data, and other technical data the repair station uses.
4. Ensure that periodic checks are made on all inspection tools and the calibration of precision equipment used by the repair station and technicians who keep their own precision equipment. Further ensure that current records of those inspections and tests are maintained.
5. Submit reports of defects or unairworthy condition in accordance with 14CFR 145.221.
6. Assure that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the repair station are available to all inspection personnel.
7. Maintain and keep current a regulatory library including federal aviation regulations, type certificate data sheets (if required), and FAA published airworthiness directives.
8. Ensure that procedures used in procurement and receipt of aircraft parts will guard against "bogus" and "unapproved" parts from entering the parts system and to ensure that any such parts are detected before their use.
9. Ensure that any maintenance performed for FAR 121, 125, 129 or 135
Carriers under a Continuous Airworthiness Program per FAR 145.2 through 145.205 are accomplished in accordance with that Carrier's manual, and all required inspection items are inspected by Quality Inspectors who are not performing the work.
10. Ensure that proper entries are made into maintenance logs and work orders IAW FAR part 43 and Operator/Air Carrier manuals.
11. Ensure that all personnel training and qualification records are kept safely and orderly.
12. Establishing and maintaining the primary contact to the PMI.
13. Ensuring that the RSM/QCM/TRM/FM is kept current and accurate. Coordinate with the FAA all revisions to these manuals.
14. Establishing the Training Program Manual, maintain the requirements for initial and recurrent training for personnel involved in the maintenance and, preventive maintenance of civil aviation articles.
15. Maintaining the repair station rosters and ensuring that changes in job personnel or job duties are reflected on the roster within five business days as required by this manual.
16. Establishing and maintaining the repair station employment and training records.
17. Establishing and maintaining Op Spec of articles with respect to the Operating Specifications Ratings held.
18. Implementation of the company safety policy and human factor issues
19. Supplying the necessary technical documents for customers and storage of the organization’s technical records.
