PRIMARY ROLE
Material Handler is responsible for performing all duties related to the daily operations of onsite warehousing, which includes Receiving, Shipping, Order Picking, Materials Management and Housekeeping. The position will directly interface with client staff including Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Laboratory and Quality departments. This role is 1st shift, 4-10 hour Days Sunday to Wednesday (8:00 am to 6:30 pm).
GENERAL DUTIES
Receiving: Responsible for receiving all deliveries (hazardous and non-hazardous) from multiple carriers and ensure all packages are inspected prior to acknowledging receipt from the carrier.
· Proper handling of all temperature conditions, including dry ice and liquid nitrogen.
· All material to be inspected and verified which include temperature storage condition, part number, batch number, expiration date and quantity.
· Process all internal receiving documents according to the SOP.
Shipping: Ensure all shipments are processed in accordance with the Shipping Request Instructions.
· Proper handling of all temperature conditions, including dry ice and liquid nitrogen.
· Generate shipping documentation and label, including BOL’s (Bill of Ladings), AWB’s (airway bills), and Proforma Invoice.
· Track shipments, ensure deliveries and notify the requestor once delivered.
· Ensure shipments are suitable and compliant with Global Trade Compliance (GTC), Department of Transportation (DOT), International Airport Transport Association (IATA), Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA).
Materials Management: Precisely fulfill pick request for manufacturing and laboratory departments.
· Report and document inventory discrepancies to Inventory & Warehouse Manager.
· Determine proper delivery location for GMP and Non-GMP packages and ensure they are maintained in the appropriate storage conditions.
· Create and apply inventory status labels as part of order fulfillment. Perform cycle counts as required. Monitor and adjust on-site safety stock thresholds based on client consumption.
· Replenish stockroom inventory as determined.
· Re-order inventory via client purchasing system to maintain on-site stock/minimums.
Documentation: Properly complete, save and file all documentation according to cGMP and company requirements.
Warehouse Management: Ensure warehouse maintains GMP compliance per 21 CFR Parts 210 & 211 at all times.
· Ensure warehouse and workstation are kept clean, neat, and orderly, at all times.
· Properly assist and support coworkers when needed.
· Provide suggestions and improvements for work related processes and procedures.
· Support team in removing all trash and recycling from the warehouse.
· Ability to work overtime if necessary.
· Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma and 5+ years of pharmaceutical related work experience required.
- MUST have 5+ years’ experience generating shipping labels and documents with various carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.
- Global shipping experience is preferred.
- Experience with shipping temperature sensitive packages is desirable.
- Background with shipping dangerous goods is a plus.
- Operating order selector and pallets jack.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Attention to detail is a MUST for this position.
· Must be able to work independently.
· Capable of lifting to 50lbs.
· Able to stand for long periods of time.
· Competent computer skills: Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Email, etc.
· Ability to successfully communicate and collaborate with co-workers and contractors.
· Communication, Organizational skills, Team building skills, Self-Development, Planning, Conflict Resolution and Multi-Tasking.
· Able to support tight timelines.
· Knowledge in cGMPs, GCP, SOP’s, deviations, CAPA’s and change control.

· Ability to: perform multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
