The role: Dental Hygienist
- Provide excellent care and build rapport with patients (our patient base is largely long term patients, we value getting to build those relationships!)
- Educate patients on their oral health care needs, caries risk assessment, take intraoral photos. Co-diagnosing is important to our team!
- We value department meetings in order to help grow, educate each other as a team, and calibrate our clinical standards so patients receive the Orono Dental Care standard they are accustomed to from all team members, even if they see a different provider.
- Take radiographs: bitewings, CBCT, PA’s as prescribed
- Document treatment that is needed and enter/phase treatment plans
- Apply fluoride, SDF, and sealants as recommended
- Screen for airway/sleep/myofunctional issues (no experience necessary, we can educate and train in this area). This is a growing area of interest in the dental field as a whole and a fun way to improve the lives of all our patients!

- We are open Monday-Friday (half day Friday)
