NHDP is looking for an attentive and creative Job Coach to assist adults with developmental disabilities within our Day Program. We seek a helpful person to complete specified duties and enhance individual's skill and independence within workplace and community.
Conflict resolution, assessment and problem-solving skills are necessary, as well as accurate completion of required documentation.
Adult Day Array Support Professionals/ Job Coach ensure the health and safety of those attending our workplace program in addition to providing support services which include, but not limited to:
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment;
- adhering to a positive and enthusiastic work culture;
- assist with various activities and projects
- enhancing individual's cognitive and physical skill development through supports and activities;
- assisting with non-medical transportation (driving) needs daily and on special outings;
- and maintaining proper supervision, personal supports and assist team with conflicts that may emerge.
Due to the nature of these services, you must be highly reliable and professional. Only those with a true passion in this field, to assist and work with others, need apply.
Those who have prior experience in behavioral health, mental health, social work and/or direct care preferred.
Requirements:
- Must be 25 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License in good standing
- Successful completion and results of DOT examination
- Successful completion of BCI/FBI background
Shift:
Monday through Friday, 7:30am- 3:30pm.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
