Job Description
Responsibilities:
- The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge. A pharmacist does not merely hand out prescribed medicine; he/she has the expertise and willingness to assist people and provide them with information and solutions.
*The pharmacist-in-charge must be fully qualified to interpret symptoms so that the patient can either be given immediate treatment for a trifling condition or to be referred to the suitable doctor.
*The goal is to ensure effective medication use and become the people’s trusted ally against health issues. That way you can deliver maximum value to both the pharmacy and society.
- Fill prescription orders for all medicinal agents; oral, topical, compounds, etc.
- Determine prescription assignment for dosage, drug choice, administration, and possible reactions/interactions.
- Answer drug related questions and concerns and assists with problem solving for personnel, nursing staff, and HIPAA-authorized patient family member (or responsible party) in area of expertise.
- Supervise pharmacy-staff to ensure accurate filling of prescriptions and appropriate completion of other duties.
- Supervise technicians in prescription data entry, packing oral medications, label and card preparation and other duties, and assist when necessary.
- Supervise drivers to ensure deliveries of medications and supplies to the facilities and customers are being done in an appropriate and timely manner, and that all records are properly documented.
- Compound prescriptions as needed.
- Make sure techs are checking shelf stock and inventory for expired drugs.
- Conduct and supervise semi-annual or other scheduled inventory count and record keeping.
- Complete and forward or mail forms such as credentialing, licensing, registration, and audits as required.
- Maintain a neat appearance, keep scrubs and/or uniform parts and name tag in good condition.
- Delegate tasks equitably among techs to clean and help maintain work areas and equipment, including counters, shelves, and equipment, break area, other employee common areas, etc.
- Keep Pharmacist Registration Certificate current.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Requirements :
- Proven experience as a pharmacist
- Good organizing skills
- Excellent communication skills with a customer oriented approach
- Integrity and compassion
- Degree in Pharmacy
- Valid license to practice the profession

Pay: $55.00 - $63.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
