Rockbridge County Fire-Rescue has full-time employment opportunities for Paramedics, Intermediates, and EMT’s. Experience is preferred, but training will be provided to successful recruits with no experience. Recruits must be available to start training academy on July 8th.
Personnel will be responsible for responding to emergency situations and supporting relationships with volunteer and other career personnel. Successful candidates must have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and valid Virginia Driver’s License; preferred qualifications include VA EMS/ALS/BLS/NRP certification and VDFP Firefighter I; NIMS and ICS certification(s); EVOC and CPR.
Associate’s or Technical degree in fire science or EMS preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Starting pay ranges from $36,961-$53,619 depending on certifications and experience.
