Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial transactions of the company, managing office operations, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our business.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Manage payroll processing and employee benefits administration
- Coordinate with external accountants or auditors for tax preparation and compliance
- Oversee office operations, including office supplies management, mail distribution, and vendor relations
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and organizing meetings
- Assist with human resources functions, such as maintaining employee records and assisting with recruitment efforts
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in [industry/type of company] is a plus
