Dependable Highway Express (DHE), a large transportation company, seeks a Driver Business Support Representative to work in our Truckload Division at our Phoenix, Arizona Service Center. Dependable is a stable and rapidly expanding Trucking and Warehousing company with long roots in Los Angeles Transportation. We are looking for a positive attitude and a team player.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Driver Business Support (DBSR) is Dependable Highway Express’s key support associate link between the organization and both drivers and customers. The broad base of industry knowledge and experience gained while in the position prepares the individual for any number of career paths within the organization.
The primary responsibility of this position is to support truckload drivers and Power- Only based out of Phoenix, AZ, to achieve specific customer service, financial, and key performance goals. The DBSR will assist in the coordination, review and completion of load assignments and tendering process to Power –Only. The DBSR is expected to use an open, interactive communication to reconcile customer and driver needs, while supporting drivers to meet the company performance goals. These goals include:
- Conduct all operations in a safe manner.
- Achieving equipment and driver performance standards as set by Area Service Manager.
- Receive, review, communicate, and ensure appropriateness of driver work assignments.
- As required assist in the driver road test and safety training.
- Analyze service failures to address problem issues.
- Take proactive steps aimed at the prevention of services failures.
- Provide mutual support during the absence of other team members
- Assist in the coordination and load tendering to outside carriers and capacity utilization
- Input customer orders in LME
- Input driver payroll.
- Participate in quarterly driver safety and training meetings.
- Adhere to and promote the company mission statement, “Principles for Success,” and “Principles for Leadership”.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- One year of Customer Service and a minimum of one-year operational experience in the Truckload Industry
- Have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Mature, self-confident, and self-starting.
- Fluent in computer applications of McLeod and Omnitrac a plus.
- Possess a pleasant, yet assertive telephone personality with good listening skills.
- Able to function accurately at an accelerated pace.
- Stress Tolerant.
- Possess proven problem analysis skills.
- Able to plan and organize well.
- Attentive to detail.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
