Through the use of our client driven services such as our Crisis Stabilization program, Mental Health Skill Building Program, Intensive Outpatient Services, Intensive In-Home Services, and Case management, MCG is prepared to provide exceptional care to its clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The individual we are seeking will work closely with and report to the Clinical and Residential Program Manager, this role will support the Behavioral Health department in meeting its clerical and customer service needs. The Clinical Intake Coordinator needs to communicate well and be able to establish rapport with clients and their families. He/she must be sensitive to the needs of behavioral health and mental health clients.
1) Registers new patients and updates existing patients’ information, including the collection of all eligibility documents needed for Medicaid and/or fee-for-service benefits
2) Provides assistance to Behavioral Health staff in scheduling clients for appointments, including reminder calls and correspondence.
3) Provides administrative and clerical support for Behavioral Health, including correspondence, data input, filing, assembling files, and other duties.
4) Completes service authorizations, intensive service plans, crisis education prevention plans, and other clinical intake paperwork
5) Assists with other ancillary needs as directed such as outside referrals, outreach activities, and coordination of care with outside agencies.
6) Does chart audits and quality assurance checks on assigned caseloads.
Additional Responsibilities may include:
1) Participate in all required staff meetings.
2) Perform general office duties or other responsibilities as needed and assigned.
3) Maintain employee files and ensure files are up to date.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed here are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
-Must be LMHP, LCSW, LPC or a Master's Degree Intern
- Must demonstrate superior customer service and people skills, being able to respond to the immediate needs of patients or supervisors.
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills (typing 40 wpm), being able to effectively reach diverse populations and entities.
- Experience in community-based counseling & substance use
- Must possess strong clinical writing and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently in carrying out assignments while remaining reliable and dependable.
- Ability to demonstrate basic levels of computer literacy, with a functional understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems in an office setting.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of routine office hardware and equipment (e.g. printers, copiers, fax machines, etc.).
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain accurate records and preparing clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing, and operational use, including capacities for attention to detail and for reviewing and verifying accuracy of data.
- Demonstrate the competency and integrity to maintain the confidentiality of organizational, employee, and client records.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 8 per week
