Work Schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off (occasionally Monday to Friday if needed)
Paid Travel: When riding with the field supervisor in a company vehicle
Per Diem: $125 per night
Job Summary:
Through close attention to PMI core values of Quality, Safety and Integrity, the Experienced Industrial Installer will work with an Elevator Mechanic in new installations of modular manlift towers throughout the US. Phases of the projects include demo, setting tower shafts, construction of platforms and equipment installation. The Installer will also assist with the proper inspections and repair work they are assigned to. The Installer is responsible for following instructions from their supervisor for the project to be completed safely, efficiently and within budget.
Duties:
- Typical construction tasks, rigging and installation of steel structures.
- Learn to assist in performing load tests, required inspections, and appropriate troubleshooting techniques according to current ASME code.
- Work with different supervisors and staff according to project needs.
- Perform housekeeping duties for project sites.
- Study, know and apply all PMI safety policies, procedures, and practices.
- Communicate as necessary with managers, supervisors, and other PMI staff to execute assigned work.
- Must be willing to be available for overtime as projects require it.
- Properly maintain PMI tools and safety equipment through daily inspections.
- Participate in safety training as directed.
- Set up and operate a variety of powered, hand-held drills, grinders, and saws, as well as appropriate non-powered hand tools required to perform tasks.
- Climb and work safely at heights.
- Travel to where PMI contracts work.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Must be capable of lifting 70 lbs.
Educational Qualifications Desired
High School diploma or equivalent desired. Consistent with company values the candidate must have the desire to learn new processes as well as continue training in the given trade to develop skills.
Competencies and Experience Desired
- OSHA 10 Hour-Construction.
- Mechanical/electrical knowledge.
- General construction knowledge.
- Experience with power tools.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
