Manufacturingl Engineer
Reports to:
Engineering Director
Duties and Responsibilities
· Create and manage manufacturing procedures and workflows and ensure maximum accessibility and clarity of such documentation.
· Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
· Gather data and compile reports to ascertain where the highest value manufacturing process improvements lie.
· Evaluate quality control effectiveness and implement improvements in quality control.
· Evaluate manufacturing processes and implement improvements in material and labor efficiency as well as throughput.
· Analyze equipment placement and space requirements and make recommendations to improve manufacturing efficiency.
· Implement processes controls for reducing contamination in hydraulic systems.
· Implement fixturing strategies to minimize misalignment and material deformation from welding processes.
· Maintain the documentation and fitness of fixtures.
· Evaluate the capacities of infrastructure and make recommendations for the degree and timing of expansions.
· Source and design material handling equipment to improve the efficiency of movement of heavy materials through the plant.
· Manage the installation of new equipment.
Required Qualifications
· BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering or BS Degree that has overlap with Manufacturing Engineering
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes and fixture design.
Preferred Experience
· Greater than 2 years in a Manufacturing/Manufacturing Engineering environment.
· ERP experience - EPICOR preferred.
· MOM creation, BOO creation and BOM creation.
· Knowledgeable in all aspects and disciplines of manufacturing
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work as part of a team.
· Ability to lead others to new ways of thinking.
· Willingness to work in metal-working environment.
· Problem solving skills.
Working conditions
· Full-time position 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday
· Professional, business casual, office environment
· Occasional work in the outdoor production areas
· Travel required less than 10%
Physical requirements
· Must be physically capable of walking and standing in a noisy production environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
