Job Description:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Assistant Director of Employer Engagement & Internships will focus primarily on initiatives designed to strengthen relationships with strategic employers, raise awareness about the university within industry, and enhance the quantity and quality of career-aligned experiential learning opportunities available to Mount students. In pursuit of these goals, this position will implement employer engagement efforts developed in concert with key stakeholders in delivering on- and off-campus industry engagement for students. They will also contribute to the development and oversight of for-credit and non-credit internships. To accomplish this work, the Assistant Director will collaborate closely with the Coordinator of campus recruiting programs and operations. The ideal candidate for this position will be knowledgeable about recruiting and employment trends, employer engagement tools/strategies and the Handshake career management system.
Work Location: Both Campus Locations Chalon Campus (West Los Angeles) and Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles). Primarily Doheny Campus. Hybrid work is available.

Position Monthly Rate: $5,546.66- $5,990.40
Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate's qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Employer Engagement and Program Management
- Oversees a portfolio of employer engagement programming, including full-cycle event coordination and marketing campaigns, that give students the opportunity to build relevant skills and connect with employers, offering superior customer service to employers ensuring positive and successful recruiting, hiring, and engagement efforts at the Mount (e.g. externships, themed weeks, networking nights, and other related programs)

Expands strategic interactions with key employers and steward existing employer partners to build and maintain strong employer relationships in concert with other external-facing efforts by the university

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of recruiting and employment trends by interacting with employers regularly and reporting back to the CPD team
2. Teamwork and Collaboration
- Plays an active role in the successful implementation of signature CPD initiatives (i.e. career fairs) led by the Coordinator of campus recruiting programs and operations

Fully participates and contributes to team meetings, assigned university committees and represent CPD in external-facing university events/initiatives

Regularly connects with other external-facing university staff to ensure synergy and complementary efforts
3. Internship Development and Coordination
- Develops and promote undergraduate internship opportunities applicable for a wide range of majors/academic programs

Serves as the liaison between the internship site and the university

Provides consultation to academic colleagues and university officials seeking information and guidance related to for-credit/non-credit internships; may have the opportunity to co-teach an internship course
4. Communications, Reporting and Professional Development
- Ensures accuracy of all content and communication, utilizing inclusive language, graphics and UX design across platforms/mediums

Conducts data collection, management and reporting

Continuously benchmarks with peer institutions and remain updated on promising practices in the field of experiential learning/education, talent acquisition/development and future of work to innovate professional practices
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Understands and follow FERPA, HIPAA, Title IX and other relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality
2. Delivers direct student engagement through individual and group presentations that are culturally relevant on topics related to pursuing career-aligned experiential learning (e.g. program information, timelines, criteria, etc.)
3. Maintains a current understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion as they impact the world of work
4. Participates in university recruitment efforts
5. Performs other job-related duties to support the Division of Student Affairs on evenings and weekends, as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Demonstrated knowledge of relationship management databases

Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor degree with 5 years of experience in higher education/student affairs, public affairs/relations, recruiting/talent acquisition, alumni relations/engagement or related field

Preferred: Master's degree with 3 years of experience in higher education/student affairs, public affairs/relations, recruiting/talent acquisition, alumni relations/engagement or related field
Experience:
