Halda Therapeutics - In Vivo Technician (Part-time: Weekends & Holidays)
Halda Therapeutics is a New Haven CT based, venture-backed biotechnology company focused on the development of a proprietary RIPTAC™ (Regulated Induced Proximity TArgeting Chimera) therapeutics that work by a novel “hold and kill” mechanism for the precision treatment of cancer. The novel mechanism of action of RIPTAC therapeutics is uniquely designed to address cancer’s ability to evolve bypass mechanisms of resistance, a common limitation of today’s precision oncology medicines.

The Position
Halda is seeking an in vivo technician to provide weekend and holiday support for our vivarium operations. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with animals and ensuring their welfare and has hands-on experience working with rodents under sterile conditions. This position reports into the Head of In Vivo Operations and is specifically meant to support Halda’s drug discovery programs by ensuring continuation of in vivo studies through weekends and holidays. The work will consist of accurately following guidance on formulating and administering drugs to mice and/or rats.
The compensation for this position will be hourly and commensurate on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing clearly laid out protocols for formulating drugs in a variety of solvents.
- Drug administration to mice/rats via multiple routes (PO, IV, IP, SC).
- Maintaining quality while ensuring safety and infection control standards specified in Halda’s IACUC protocols.
- Following animal welfare regulations and ensuring ethical treatment of on-study subjects as specified in Halda’s IACUC protocols.
Qualifications
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
- Bachelor's or associate degree in biology or veterinary care, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of animal work experience, preferably in drug discovery in biopharma/academia.
- Experience with rodent handling and dosing.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
