Road constructing company looking to add a staff-level accountant to work on our team part time. The right person has a grasp of construction accounting, from a combination of a degree and work experience.
Responsibilities
This role would help manage our company’s financial operations. These responsibilities and tasks will be coordinated with and supervised by the Controller.
- Maintain inventory program and reports
- Responsible for related fixed asset reporting.
- Process construction payables and job cost reports.
- Credit card management and reconciliation.
- Process and prepare sales tax.
- Prepare reports during the financial close and other reporting requests.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies with AP, and corporate cards.
- Interact with management on financial matters.
- Maintain financial security by establishing internal controls within the job cost environment.
- Ability to maintain balance sheet and income statement and work with P&L statement
- Prepare and input journal entries and balance ledger accounts
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or related field, and/or 3+ years in a construction accounting role.
- Must ensure confidentiality of all financial records
- Familiar with financial audits
- Knowledge of Office Suite
- Ability to assess, interpret, and manage data
- Ability and willingness to keep maintain confidentiality
- Desire to grow through continued training
- Must be a Team Player
