Summary:
The Physical Therapist will be responsible for the evaluation and treatment of sports orthopedic patients, ranging from high school to professional athletes in a state-of-the-art sports medicine facility. The physical therapist must have a passion for sports performance, injury prevention, and a desire to work in a setting with opportunities to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians. This position offers opportunities for grow and development in an enriched learning environment with opportunities to shadow physicians/ surgery/and in-services. The physical therapist will be responsible for maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines. California State licensure is a requirement. Education and Experience:
1. Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
2. Lower-level degree from an accredited physical therapy program will be accepted if lower-level degree grandfathered in for licensure.
3. Experience with sports orthopedics patients with an emphasis of differential diagnosis, examination, treatment of various musculoskeletal pathologies; both non-operative and post-operative.
4. APTA certifications including OCS and/or SCS, or significant continuing education/certifications are preferred, but not required.
5. California State licensure is a requirement.
Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple to comprehensive instructions, correspondence, memos, medical reports. Ability to write detailed correspondence, reports and policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present information to patients and other employees of the organization. Ability to express oneself in writing to best portray a patient’s progress.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and verbal form. Ability to recognize problems or issues, determine an action plan and implement in an orderly and timely fashion.
Computer skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate proficiency in SCOI systems and computer applications in general.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: A valid California PT license in good standing. Certification in specialty and/ or treatment techniques preferred.

9. Maintains an open line of communication with patients, staff, managers, directors, and physicians. This is to include phones and emails
10. Engages in direct patient care and meets minimum productivity standards as set by the CRM Director.
11. Attends at least the minimum continuing education requirements for licensure set forth by the California Physical Therapy Board.
12. Maintain their Licensure as issued by the State of California and current CPR certification.
13. Other duties as assigned
