Description:
A Material Handler, or Warehouse Associate, handles, moves, and stores various materials within a warehouse. Main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders. *Shift differential is available for 2nd shift*
Key Responsibilities:
· Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
· Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
· Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition.
· Ensure all orders are scanned properly before loaded for shipping
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in a warehouse setting
- Friendly and upbeat personality
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 150 pounds
- Proficient reading, writing and comprehension of the English language
- Forklift certification (will certify in warehouse upon hire)
Communication:
· Requires verbal and written communication
· Requires face to face discussions with individuals or teams
· Requires frequent contact with others (face to face, telephone or otherwise)
Body Positioning:
· Requires sitting and standing, lifting, and moving for long periods of time.
