The responsibilities of the role require performing difficult, skilled administrative support work in the implementation and management of employee records, including insurance, benefits, and personal actions. The Human Resources Technician may be assigned to special projects and/or programs as needed and will be responsible for verifying and imputing data into the HRIS. Additional work may be assigned as required. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Director of Human Resources.

Assists with the orderly receipt, verification, entry and filing of information sent to Human Resources for processing (specific to the HRIS)

Maintains personnel files, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of employee information

Responsible for projects/programs as assigned, such as the administration of the performance evaluation system, total compensation statements, and regulatory reports like the EEO4

Gathers information for reports and presentations and assists with preparation of various written, statistical, and narrative reports of activities to support actions, or recommendations, or provide information

Performs surveys with other entities regarding matters related to Human Resources and responds to surveys from other organizations as assigned.
