Job Description
Mental Health Counselor
The Mental Health Counselor's responsibilities can be varied, but generally include the following:
- Provide various outpatient mental health services with the goal of patient recovery
- Conduct intakes and monitor individual, group, and family therapies
- Develop service plans and conduct reviews as needed throughout the duration of treatment
- Provide mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services
- Complete and maintain documentation according to federal and state guidelines.
- Part of a team on an interdisciplinary service delivery model
- Participate actively in Supervision and Case Conference
- Attend training as required to maintain license and certifications, as well as, gaining personal awareness
Educational requirements: Master's degree in Mental Health or Social Work is required.
Hours: Monday- Friday 9a-5p (unless clients’ needs dictate otherwise.)
