Full Job Description

Responsible for coordinating all day activities of the VITP projects including treatment and referrals for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, recruting and maintaining SANE examiner shared schedule, and implementing individual and group interventions. Responsible for coordinating client follow up and tracking, data collection and data reporting. Participates in Quality Assurance activities and departmental and institutional policy development. With considerable latitude for decision making and setting of priorities, the manager provides a variety of services under Violence Intervention and Treatment Program to the community and to patients/families who utilize the inpatient and outpatient medical programs at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center which includes community outreach, culturally appropriate counseling and patient care coordination.

* Coordinate implementation of VITP services including counseling, education, and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault at Wyckoff Hospital and in the community.

* Develop and maintains active partnerships with Wyckoff programs )internal) and community partners (external) to support program outreach, referrals, education, and access to services.

* Manage VITP projects staff and volunteer recruitment, hiring, training and supervision and provide back-up to program staff as needed.

* Facilitate regular team meetings and conduct individual supervision with program staff to ensure regular program evaluation, planning, and communications of program objectives and progres.

* Unsure that all program activities are documented in a timely, comprehensive fashion including client charts, program databases, linkages with contracted agency, and outreach activities logs.

* Develop program-specific policies and procedures that integrate VITP client screenings, assessments and coordination of care within existing clinical care environments.

* Collaborate closely with the clinical teams at Wyckoff Hospital to ensure integration of VITP services, dissemination of program tools and staff trainings, and qualiyy of clinical services delivery.

* Coordinate staff trainings in program-specific interventions and in delivering screenings and assessments appropriate to patients' age, health conditions, and psycholsocial factors followed by appropriate referrals for identified needs.

* Develop curriculum and training manual for VITP volunteer/advocates and other trainings and maintains active roster of trained advocates.

* Coordinate data collection & Management to ensure program data is reported in a timely and accurate fashion as requested by program funders.

* Prepare and submit timely and accurate program reports, data summaries, and progress updates as requested by program funders and the Administrative Director of Behavioral Health.

* Coordinate the development, procurement, and dissemination of promotional and educational materials.

* Facilitate regular team meetings and conduct individual supervision with program staff to ensure regular program evaluation, planning, and communications pf program objectives and progress.

* Participate in regular supervision with assigned supervisor and other staff meetings as required.

* Attend necessary trainings and in-services, including meetings off-site to remain abreast current best practices in domestic violence and sexual assault prevention and treatment.

* May be required to attend meetings after standard working hours or change shift in order to facilitate meeting program recruitment and service delivery goals.

* Identify and coordinate quality improvement (QI) activities for each VITP project and particiapte in regular QI activities under the Administrative Director of Behavioral Health.

* Other duties as assigned by the Administrative Director of Behavioral Health.

* Aaability to prioritize and work independently.

* Ability to problem-solve and perform appropriate interventions in diverse patient care situations.

* Performs all other duties as required.

Position Requirements

* This position requires a minimum formal education of Master Degree and a minimum of 5 years job-related experience.

* Desired (not required) criteria include: 1-3 years' experience coordinating grant-funded programs and preparing reports on program deliverables and program data. Experience and cultural competence working with survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault and Hispanic community.

* LMSW New York State Department of Education.

* Minimum of 2 years of staff and program management experience. Knowledge of services for survivors of sexual assault, and family and intimate partner violence. Bilingual English Spanish preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
