Schedule: 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday

General Summary:
Participates in implementing the company quality control program and assures conformance to the applicable quality requirements. Inspects incoming purchased materials and verifies conformance with specifications and procurement documents.

Quality Control

Ensures purchased items are handled and stored in accordance with project procedures, and that only accepted items are issued to the field for installation. Manage material inventory counts. Evaluates items for Suspect/Counterfeit item indications. Receives, reviews, and handles associated documentation for conformance and generates submittals per project specification requirement. Identifies nonconforming items and reports to the Quality Manager or take otherwise appropriate action. Maintain relationships with suppliers and contacts suppliers directly when needed. May be required to develop and execute sampling plans and use available Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) to verify item acceptability. Complete Receipt Inspection Reports and prepare for submission to the project. May be required to maintain established Project Procurement Plan.

Audits and Assessments

Participates in audits and assessments of subcontractors and suppliers when needed. Participates in quality audits and surveillances of JBH project-related quality affecting activities.

Quality Training

Provides training on quality control systems as needed.

Quality Assurance

Interfaces regularly with the Quality Manager and Quality Control Manager to ensure program objectives are being met. Review non-conformances and corrective actions, assists with development of audit/surveillance schedule, reviews audit and surveillance results, and monitors continuous improvement efforts.

Lean/Continuous Improvement

Actively engages in company’s lean and continuous improvement efforts. To include involvement in standardized lean/continuous improvement programs and initiatives. Identify wastes and look for solutions to resolve or eliminate the waste.

Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Certifications:
Minimum 2 years combined experience in Quality Control and construction preferred.
Active CWI is required.
Knowledge of Quality Improvements and how the theories of quality are translated into action.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to work through non-standard problems and arrive at workable solutions
Ability to interface with wide range of internal and external personnel to establish and accomplish objectives
Strong communication to include verbal, written and presentation
Quality systems concepts, practices, policies and procedures
Proficiency with MS Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to read, understand, interpret codes and standards,
Ability to read, understand, interpret specifications and drawings
Physical Requirements:
**Frequent use of computer monitor, keyboard and mouse. Frequently sits. Regularly stands. Regularly walks.
Occasionally walks on uneven surfaces. Occasionally ascends and descends stairs. Occasionally kneels, stoops, crouches and/or crawls. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Occasionally drives to meeting locations or project sites.
