Job Title: Logistics Coordinator – (Dispatch)
Location: Neville Island (Pittsburgh), PA
Reports To: Operations Manager
Summary
We are looking for a skilled Logistics Coordinator to support and facilitate our supply chain operations. Working as part of a team, the Logistics Coordinator is well-versed in supply management principles and practices, enabling them to maximize efficiency. Customer satisfaction is paramount as the Logistics Coordinator must immediately respond to customer questions, as well as notify them of any problems or delays in service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Coordinate, schedule, and communicate shipment details to suppliers and customers.
· Organize and track information according to customers’ requirements.
· Develop and manage relationships with carrier base.
· Schedule and/or reschedule delivery appointments for all loads.
· Answer incoming phone calls and/or inquiries and provide effective customer service.
· Communicate with drivers and shipping personnel to ensure trucks are properly loaded.
· Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers.
· Keep accurate records and ensure required documentation is submitted timely.
· Adhere to shipping/receiving and regulatory-compliance procedures.
· Investigate product overage, shortage and damage, and complete the appropriate
documentation.
· Update Account Managers on problem loads, and the actions that will or have been
taken.
· Other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
*High school diploma, GED or equivalent
*Minimum of two years dispatching / freight management experience
*Previous experience working with Brokers and Freight companies a plus
*Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
*Strong problem solving and organizational skills
*Ability to interact with others in a team environment
*Excellent customer service skills
* Proficient computer and data entry skills
Schedule, Compensation, & Benefits Overview:
*Typical Schedule is Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
*Salaried position based on experience.

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
