Auro Hotels is seeking a Sales Manager to work with two brand hotels in the Orlando Convention Center cluster: Residence Inn by Marriott and Springhill Suites by Marriott. The purpose of the Sales Manager is to assist in assuring the overall success of the hotel by meeting or exceeding the company’s expectations for top line revenue, develop business leads, solicit potential clients, service existing accounts, sell all hotel facilities, and meet and exceed budgeted revenue.
- Expectation to dedicate significant portion of time to direct telephone solicitations.
- New Business development for property, predominantly from Association Groups.
- Meet or exceed assigned revenue goals, Rooms, F&B, Meeting Room Rentals.
- Represent AURO Hotels professionally to our clients/guests and businesses.
- Assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal, ethical manner.
- Providing prospects with complete and accurate information on hotel. Determine client needs and possible objections; provide persuasive arguments to close the sale. Negotiate rates to maximize revenues.
- Perform duties associated with business development. Develop and follow a targeted action plan and update plan on a monthly basis. Develop, pursue and follow‐through with businesses.
- Create clients by providing prospects with complete and accurate information on hotel. Determine client needs and possible objections; provide persuasive arguments to close the sale. Negotiate rates to maximize.
- Develop positive working relationships with existing clients by anticipating needs and acting promptly to rectify any problems.
- Prepares proposals with the Director of Sales that are geared to maximize profit while satisfying client needs.
- Contacts in‐house customers to foster additional business, repeat bookings, or referrals to other AURO Hotels.
- Maintains proper flow of information within the hotel by reviewing sales work file of assigned accounts.
- Attends yield management and staff meetings in the absence of Director of Sales.
- Increases sales volume and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas as stated in the hotel marketing plan.
- Ensures maximum occupancy on a daily basis by performing follow‐ups on progress of groups booked with Front Office.
College degree in hotel administration preferred; 2-3 years’ hotel sales management as a Sales Manager for a major hotel chain or management company; or equivalent combination of education and experience in hotel of similar size and nature. Experience in group and contract sales. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
