As a Solar Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge solar energy systems. Responsibilities
● Responsibility will be primarily commercial, with assistance with residential projects
depending on project flow
● Design engineer will coordinate with internal commercial sales and project management
team in reviewing preliminary PV designs
● Coordinate with outsourced electrical and structural engineers for final system designs
● Analyze, track and record data in the field for commercial commissioning reports
● Generate and submit necessary documentations to AHJ for permit approval
● Revise plan sets for permit approval
● Revise plan sets as As-Builts if there are installation changes in the field
● Supporting team members and peers to achieve KPIs
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or energy engineering
● Able to perform work accurately and completely in a timely manner
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat DC Pro
● Proficiency with CAD software and solar design tools (AutoCAD, Aurora, PVsyst,
Helioscope) preferred
● Proficiency with Microsoft and Google software
● Single line and three-line electrical design experience
● Able to assess and optimize project productivity
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
● Familiarity with both residential and commercial PV equipment, including inverters,
racking, module electronics, solar panels and monitoring systems.
● Direct experience in commercial-scale PV projects of at least 1 year

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
