Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing personalized care and promoting their independence.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Implement behavior management techniques as directed by the care plan
- Follow resident rights policies and ensure their privacy and dignity are respected
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of residents
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques and principles
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized living space
- Familiarity with nursing home procedures and regulations is a plus
- Basic understanding of behavior management strategies
- First aid certification is required
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments
