The Dog Wizard is a dog training franchise that has been in business for over 15 years. It’s Not Magic, It's dog training done right! We pride ourselves on customer service, delivering excellent standards of care in training, and the integrity of our people. The Dog Wizard offers Board & Trains, Private Lessons and Classes.

Position: Dog Trainer Qualities and Skills Necessary:
- Knowledge of the dog training business is a plus but certainly not required. Biggest factor is a positive and upbeat attitude as well as willingness to learn.
- Desire to learn and willingness to adapt.
- Leadership skills that will help our team grow and excel.
- Excellent communication skills to aid in sales and business development.
- Lives in or willing to relocate near Southlake, Colleyville, Keller, Grapevine, or Bedford
- Ability to board 1-2 dogs is strongly preferred, but not required
- Experience with social media including Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok is strongly preferred, but not required.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Work with The Dog Wizard team to implement training to our brand standard.
- Identify issues and problem solve to address challenges swiftly.
- Execute sold training including all training programs that are offered and available at The Dog Wizard including: group classes, private lessons and possibly board and train services.
- Update clients on progress of training through phone, email and daily updates on social media. Provide Lifetime Graduate Support to existing clients and future clients through Graduate Support Group held one time per week or evaluate additional needs as becomes necessary.
- Assist in developing and maintaining community relationships through attending events, scheduling lunch and learns with local business, and building brand awareness within the community.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships.
- Build the quality reputation of The Dog Wizard through word of mouth referrals, online reviews and deliver on the expected goals for training.
- Communicate with the team and clients effectively about training needs of the dogs.
- The Dog Wizard training ranges from basic obedience, to behavior modification, to aggressive or highly reactive dogs.
Experience:
- Dog Training experience is not required. Training at The Dog Wizard Academy is mandatory. The Dog Wizard Academy is a hybrid education platform. Combining online and in person (hands-on) training.
- Online Training must be completed before the hands-on portion of training starts.
- 18 days of hands-on training follows online training. **Will require travel
Benefits include:
- Compensation: base salary + commission (TBA once experience is evaluated)

- Company willing to provide paid training (Introductory rate of $15 per hour during job shadowing, full rate after on-boarding complete)
