Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a non-IT project manager to coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities, including, coordinating activities in such fields non-IT based projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic direction, production management oversight and expertise to partner with business units to drive the development of the operational improvement by performing as an internal consultant and a continuous improvement management.
- Coordinate and develop cooperation and support from key business owners and stakeholders
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to roll out new processes
- Develop detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
- Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
- Ensure inter-department priorities are aligned and make sure that management group has all information for making decisions
- Oversee, lead and participate in projects meetings with other departments
- Ensure completion of tasks and seek the final decision from management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Requires excellent communication skills, excellent relationship building and emotional intelligence and self-motivation.
- Basic knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- PMI or PMP certification preferred.
- 0-2 years experience required.
- Must be able to speak in mathematical/statistical terms (normality, probability, complex numbers, and logarithms are commonly used as references).
- Skilled at evaluating data from multiple angles to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
