Responsibilities:
o Partner with branch leadership in supporting and addressing site business initiatives, issues & challenges.
o Resource support to all employees and management staff, elevating questions and issues to Senior leadership team as needed
o Maintain employee personnel files and issues in collaboration with Branch leaders
o Address employee relations as necessary - i.e. attendance, performance management, conduct, etc. ensuring documentation is consistent, thorough and accurate
o Support Sr. leadership team in conducting investigations
o Be a point of contact for employee human resources concerns by answering questions and providing guidance- i.e. payroll questions, vacation policy, etc
o Support Sr. leadership, Branch Manager and Team, facilitating new employee orientation, including I-9 processing and all new hire paperwork
o Assist Branch managers in compiling People Metrics within the branch such as turnover/issues/safety, etc.
and work with Sr. leadership team to develop solutions
o Suggest training needs such as leadership, safety, employee relations, sexual harassment, etc.
o Working under the direction of Sr. leadership team assisting in implementing new policies, procedures & protocols into the branches
Requirements:
BA/BS in HR or Related experience
2-3 years of experience in HR
Affiliations a bonus
Qualifications:
o Familiarity with different HR areas of specialization {i.e. Total Rewards, Talent Management, etc.)
o Experience dealing with employee relations
o Previous experience in wholesale distribution or warehousing organizations would be helpful
o Understanding of state and federal employment laws
o Strong computer proficiency, especially Outlook, Word, Excel & Power Point
o Strong written and oral communication skills
o Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to employees at all levels within the organization
o Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
o Ability to travel to branches as needed
o Manages the payroll timekeeping system including making edits and changes as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
o The base salary range for this full-time $46,500- $65,900
o Individual base pay depends on experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. In addition, we offer an ICHRA Insurance plan, simple IRA, paid designated holidays and PTO
