Position Summary: To provide quality clinical and psychotherapeutic services to the patients; serve as an interdisciplinary team member, supporting the organization’s treatment program/philosophy; work collaboratively with treatment team to ensure the safety/well-being of patients and to develop clinically sound, therapeutic interventions and treatment goals for patients as clinically indicated; conduct ongoing assessments and monitors progress of patients assigned to their caseload; complies with all regulatory/facility policies, procedures and protocols; fosters a positive, therapeutic milieu for patients and demonstrates respect for co-workers, patients, family members and outside agency representatives.
At a minimum psychotherapy services shall be provided as follows: Individual psychotherapy 10-15 hours per week; Process group psychotherapy 5 hours per week; Other psychotherapy groups 12-15 hours per week; Family contact/therapy depends on the resident's clinical needs and family availability, at least two hours of therapy should be provided monthly, either face-to-face or by phone; therapeutic meals 5 times weekly, eating with the residents and processing issues as they arise.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: All psychotherapists shall, at a minimum:
- Possess a master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, counseling or any other related field; and
- Be license-eligible according to state law and working toward licensure; and
- If not yet licensed, practice under the supervision of a licensed psychotherapist.
Experience: Eating Disorder experience preferred. 2 years’ experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: All practicing psychotherapists at Living Hope EDTC shall meet at least one of the following credentialing criteria with licensure defined as possessing a valid and current license issued by the state of Arkansas:
- Licensed clinical psychologist;
- Licensed professional counselor;
- Licensed behavioral practitioner;
- Licensed professional counselor candidate;
- Licensed Associate Counselor
Other: Written and oral communication skills; proficient time management; skills in maintaining information as highly confidential; ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation; ability to complete required documentation in a timely, accurate manner that is clinically appropriate and within expected timeframes.
