Job description
Chantal Lamberto Interior Design, a boutique residential full-service Interior Design firm, is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented, and well organized self-starter for the position of Junior Interior Designer. Candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in the field of Interior Design, be proficient in AutoCAD, and have a passion for design. This is a dynamic and integral role in a small team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate on all phases of the design process
- Prepare detailed CAD drawings (floor plans, elevations, and RCP's)
- Assist with preparation of color and material boards as needed for presentations
- Prepare client proposals, purchase orders, and invoices in Studio Designer
- Communicate with vendors re: orders and customization
- Maintain project schedules and order expediting
- Coordinate and oversee client deliveries and installations
- Source materials, finishes, and furnishings for specification
- Assist Principal on preparing for meetings and taking notes
- Assist with follow-up meeting procedures: generate meeting notes, identifying action items.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Vendor inspections and job site meetings
- Assist with general office organization
- Must meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of all work produced
Qualifications:
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD, Google Drive, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and sense of diplomacy with client and vendor relations
- Must be polished and professional in presentation
- Have excellent problem solving skills, strong follow through, a proactive approach, and be self-motivated
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Thrive in a fast paced environment with multitasking abilities
- Have a positive attitude, high-energy, and enjoy collaboration with a team
- Be eager to learn and be a flexible thinker
- Car with valid California driver’s license required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
