Description:
SUMMARY
The HR Assistant performs administrative duties for the HR department. Must always be able to maintain confidentiality of all employee information.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
~ Answer phone system, check messages, return calls and distribute messages, check e-mails and respond in a timely manner.
~ Enter time into Penguin from time sheets, complete audits for payroll.
~ Assist with weekly billing as needed and learn bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity to be back up.
~ Coordinates Pre-employment and onboarding events to include maintenance and employee orientation.
~ Assists all members of the Human Resources team as needed in areas such as recruitment, benefits, employee relations.
~ Reporting to management as required
~ Updates weekly trackers and sends in on time
~ Orders supplies and maintain the necessary supplies to ensure efficient operations.
~ File and organize for operations and end of year clean out for prep of the new year.
~ Keep office and bathrooms clean.
~ Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
*One year certification from college or technical school, 3 months to 6 months related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Computer proficiency; MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Office 365 Suite.*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Must possess the ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 30 lbs, work at a computer for several hours indoors and on occasion, coordinate / participate in events in the outdoors.
