Kodiak Car Rentals, a growing car rental business in Kodiak, Alaska is seeking an experienced Office and Claims Manager for a fast-paced environment at our in town location.
Office Manager
Responsibilities include:
- Schedule appointments with local repair shops and maintain fleet files.
- Manage rental fleet to ensure vehicle condition is documented prior to rental.
- Manage incoming rentals to ensure vehicle has not sustained any damage during customers rental.
- Monitor fleet reports for quality control in a timely fashion.
- Manage damage claims preparing documentation needed for the customer and insurance company.
- Interact in a professional manner with customers
- Time approvals for staffs weekly time sheets
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
- Manage and pay all incoming bills
- Enter receipts in Quickbooks
- Mentoring/redirecting/coaching employees to be compliant with company policies and procedures
- Assist renters with vehicle pick ups at the airport during busy times.
- Completing all required reporting in the allotted time frame
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times
Requirements:
- 3+ years or more of Office Management experience
- Previous knowledge of Quickbooks preferred
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
- Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local laws
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- Previous management experience and basic automotive knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Strong computer skills, written communication skills, and very detail-oriented.
- Must be a quick learner and handle stress well in a fast paced environment.
This person will act as Office and Claims Manager including answering phones, assist customers in making reservations, monitor and answer emails, manage damage claims, review photos and videos for quality control, assist in shuffling vehicles to and from the Kodiak Airport, pay bills, order supplies, monitor fleet health, and periodically assist at the Kodiak Airport when needed.
Candidate must be willing and able to work 40 hours per week..
Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Must be 21 or older with a clean driving record and no substance abuse issues.
Benefits:

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
