Lanson B. Jones and Company is a high-end full-service design-build landscape architecture firm. For over 25 years, LBJ & Co. has designed and constructed custom gardens and outdoor structures for private residences and commercial properties.
Project Management Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for managing all design-build aspects of a project from the initial conceptual design throughout the construction. The Project Manager must be knowledgeable in both design and construction. They must be capable to manage teams to accomplish the desired end results
- Work directly with landscape architects, subcontractors, crew members, design associates, engineers and other professionals from conceptual design through construction of landscape architectural projects

Manage day-to-day operational aspects of multi-discipline projects, including scope, timeline, and budget
- Manage client communications and expectations
- Assist in producing design work in conjunction with project requirements, which may include complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, or difficult coordination requirements
- Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization
- Create quarterly projections based on current and upcoming projects
- Review deliverables prepared by the team
- Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards
- Establish/update project design & schedules
- May include the creation of AutoCAD base plans, design adjustments and construction drawings
- Prepare proposals and compile bids for landscape design-build projects
- Plant material knowledge a plus
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum a plus
- Project Manager certification a plus
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, construction, or related field
- Residential architecture, construction, or landscape architecture experience required
- Requires 3 to 7 years related experience in a comparable position
- Construction administration/supervision experience preferred
- Excellent site evaluation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel)
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Detail-oriented; strong technical, writing, and communication skills
- Knowledge of residential designs, permitting, codes
- Demonstrates a collaborative and professional work ethic
- Strong interpersonal skills-verbal, listening and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. We are looking for a problem solver that thinks on their feet
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation with state-mandated auto liability insurance on personal vehicle required
