**Child Care Administrator**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Administrator for Residential Home for Youth (General Residential Operation , GRO) to join our team.
-The ideal candidate would be a Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA) PREFERRED, but if licensed, Child Care Administrator must agree to become licensed within 1 year after passing the Administrator's test.
-Childcare Administrator will be responsible for daily supervision and on-site administrative responsibilities for the overall operation .
-The Childcare Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the supervision of the program activities and the needs of children in care are met.
-The task will include the responsibility of hiring new youth caregivers, supervision of employees and management of the operation according to DFPS and YFT policies.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Contributes to East Texas Open Door’s mission, vision, and program philosophies.
-Provides support, ensures the in-service training, hiring, firing and the evaluation of staff.
-Adheres to the requirements and regulations as set forth by the intentities that regulate the operation.
-Establishes relationships and communicates with the clients/children, caseworkers/probation officers, family members and staff when needed. Identifies and seeks resolution for potential problems arising with all involved parties.
-Performs administrative duties to ensure the efficient functioning of daily treatment operations of ETOD.
-Act as administrative liaison with Licensing, Contracts, YFT, caseworkers, placement coordinators, State and community organizations; Conducting staff/agency meetings as required.
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -
-Option 1 - Licensed LCCA in good standing with DFPS or under the understanding that one must be obtained within 1 year. A Bachelor's Level degree in social work or related field as well as 2 years of documented full-time work experience in a residential child-care operation, or related field of child and family services. Effective oral/written communication and organizational skills Proof of valid Texas Driver's License.
Option 2 - Licensed LCCA in good standing with DFPS or under the understanding that one must be obtained within 1 year. A Master's Level degree in social work or related field as well as 1 year of documented full-time work experience in a residential child-care operation, or related field of child and family services. Effective oral/written communication and organizational skills Proof of valid Texas Driver's License.
