Job Description: Vice President of Sales (Begins as an Interim Amish Sales Manager with Rapid Pathway to V.P. of Sales)

Location: Hybrid (Telecommute and local to lot locations across Ohio, Indiana and Michigan- located within a two hour radius of Toledo, Ohio)
Overview:
The Vice President of Sales will oversee all Sales Managers and the Customer Support & Success Manager at Amish Sheds Direct and USA Buildings Direct, ensuring strategic alignment, driving sales performance, and managing customer relationships. This role requires a dynamic leader who can think strategically, analyze data to drive decisions, develop and mentor staff, and handle customer concerns and complaints effectively.
Initial Assignment:
- This position will begin as an Interim Amish Sales Manager, stationed at our lots in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana (totaling five locations). The individual will gain firsthand experience with the sales process and customer service approach specific to the Amish Sheds side of the business.
- During this period, the role will encompass leadership responsibilities, including overseeing the Amish Sheds lot managers across all five locations, as well as, the two USA Buildings Direct Steel Sales Managers. The responsibilities include conducting evaluations, ensuring accountability, and driving the sales performance of both the lot managers and steel sales managers.
- The primary goal of starting in the Amish Sales Manager role is to enable the individual to thoroughly understand and define the future structure of the position. By personally experiencing the role, they will be better equipped to design it to be data-driven, leadership-oriented, and focused on enhancing sales performance. They will be able to identify the competencies required to make this position an effective part of the business hierarchy.
- After three (3) to five (5) months in the interim role, the plan is to move this acting Amish Sales Manager into the V.P. of Sales role, where they will hire the replacement Amish Sales Manager and maintain oversight over the Amish Sales Manager (who will be responsible for the oversight of the Lot Managers) and the two Steel Sales Managers, as well as, a Customer Support & Success Manager.
Future Assignment & Responsibilities as the V.P. of Sales:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company goals and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align sales objectives with overall business strategy.
- Identify market trends and opportunities to position the company competitively.
- Sales Performance Management:
- Set clear sales targets and performance metrics for Sales Managers and their teams.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Implement effective sales processes and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Staff Development and Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop Sales Managers, and Customer Success Manager, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and development plans.
- Utilize tools and templates that drive thoughtful, consistent organization and processes within the team.
- Encourage professional growth through training, coaching, and continuous learning opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained across all sales channels.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and complaints, from the Customer Support and Success Manager, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster a collaborative environment between sales, marketing, operations, and other departments.
- Communicate sales goals, strategies, and performance updates to the executive team.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize data analytics to drive sales strategies and decision-making processes.
- Implement and oversee CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
- Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and forecasts to the executive team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the building or construction industry.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle customer concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
