Position Summary::The Secondary School Advising Department oversees the process of guiding graduating Carroll students to their next schools. Reporting to the Director of Secondary School Advising, this role will collaborate with various departments within the school to enhance the overall experience for Carroll families as they transition to new educational institutions. This includes a detailed analysis of student profiles, helping families identify suitable schools, and supporting them with hi-touch support throughout the process. The office supports approximately 100 families annually in this transition.
Responsibilities:-
Support students and families through the independent school application process, ensuring comprehensive support and resources.

Assist with public school enrollment, offering guidance for a smooth transition and providing IEP/504 support.

Meet with parents to discuss high schools that align with their students learning profile.

Provide ongoing counsel to parents and students through individual meetings and Secondary School Advising events.
- Analyze student profiles through comprehensive reviews of neuropsychological testing, academic reports, admission file summaries, teacher feedback, and classroom observations.

Develop an in-depth understanding of secondary schools.
- Foster strong relationships with admission officers from various secondary schools through visits and regular communication.

Communicate student learning profiles to high school admission professionals, discussing necessary academic supports, accommodations, or modifications.
- Coordinate and review teacher recommendations and conduct mock interviews
