We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician who can work independently, communicate effectively with customers, generate technical reports, and provide recommendations for product improvement to the Product Development Group. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibility
- Electronics or Electrical certificate or degree
- Ability to travel 70% of the time (both domestic and international)
- Proficient in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
- Highly preferred knowledge of PLC systems
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot electrical schematics
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable working at heights
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity
- Preferred experience with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one for international travel
- Regularly interact with customers, vendors, and contractors
- Coordinate participation of vested parties for equipment installation and start-up activities
- Ensure timely response to customer inquiries
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment onsite and remotely
- Perform warranty and non-warranty repairs of equipment at customer facilities
- Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations
- Ensure proper implementation of pre-commissioning activities
- Travel to customer sites for final commissioning and equipment demonstrations
- Support project team in clearing mechanical, electrical, and automation punch list items
- Participate in project and construction meetings
- Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel
- Troubleshoot technical issues onsite and provide support to customers
- Coordinate site visits and travel arrangements independently
- Provide direct technical support for testing and field service activities
Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
