DIRECT SERVICE WORKER (DSW) - Denver CO
3rd Shift - FT - Sun-Thurs - 12am-8am
2nd Shift - FT - M-F 4pm-12am
Safe Places for Women's new short and long-term programs provide faith-based 24/7 residential care for women who have experienced sexual trafficking or exploitation. We are seeking enthusiastic candidates for the position of Direct Service Worker. This is a full-time role, with 2nd or 3rd shift working hours. Please see details above.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe, secure healing environment for residents.
- Models healthy boundaries in a home environment with the residents and works directly with residents to ensure day-to-day goals are met.
- Provides consistent operations by upholding the program model and resident guidelines.
- All duties to be done in accordance with the faith, mission, values, and goals of Safe Places for Women.
- Works with Program Director and Case Manager to accomplish milestone objectives for survivors.
- Uses de-escalation and behavior modification techniques to ensure safety and stability.
- Works cooperatively with the Program Director to secure the needs of residents and ensure program regulation.
- Keeps adequate and up-to-date records for each client and completes intake and other necessary processes.
- Implements daily schedule and shift duties
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in a caretaking role
- Experience with trauma, abuse, sexual exploitation is a plus
- Must be an excellent communicator and show high level of professionalism
- Must have basic computer, printer, software skills
- Humility, dependability, and growth mindset
- Must successfully complete a background check
