JOB SUMMARY
The Fleet Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repairs for our company fleet which includes tractors, trailers, vans, cars, forklifts, and other equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair
- Excellent mechanical repair skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read service and repair manuals
- Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Takes direction from the Fleet Mechanic regarding work assignments and daily tasks
- Maintain vehicles which include a fleet of cars, vans, tractor/trailers, forklifts, and other equipment
- Perform routine preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
- Answer road calls
- Maintain vehicle records as required
- Tire maintenance of all fleet with additional help from outside vendors
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Execute truck and trailer washing
- Identify mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment
- Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, and other mechanical parts
- Plan and establish timetable to complete repairs and maintenance
- Visit other sites to inspect vehicles (Sebring)
- Test drive vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation
- Ensure all Warehouse equipment is in optimal condition
- Perform other related duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
