JOB DESCRIPTION of Pastry Cook:
- Assist with food production for functions and prepare all required items -
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
- Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
- Prepare simple dishes
- Serve items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
- Adhere to state and local health and safety regulations
- Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
REQUIREMENTS of Pastry Cook:
Ideal candidate would be a confident, self-motivated individual with a positive disposition in a high volume, fast paced environment
- At least 1 - 2 Years of experience in a kitchen
- Pastry/baking experience
- Memphis Food Handler Certified
- Ability to fluctuate between AM and PM shifts
- Ability to work weekends/holidays/late nights
- Able to follow instruction and work well with a team
- Must demonstrate exceptional knowledge in all aspects of food service
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance - conduct and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times
- Must be organized, detailed oriented, exercise strong leadership and communication skills
- Must maintain harmony in the kitchen and working relationships with the front of the house at all times
- Some Holidays with prior notice

PAY RATE: $16-$20 per hour Depending on Experience
