Grant Sheet Metal has been around for over 40 years. We are a sheet metal company that specializes in the fabrication and installation of commercial HVAC ductwork. We also collaborate with customers on custom fabrications for everything from water features to custom office furniture and everything in between.
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics and helpers to join our team. We are looking for reliable, hard-working candidates that possess a working knowledge of HVAC systems, and experience installing commercial ductwork. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and the installation commercial HVAC ductwork, and will be able to work with a variety of tools and equipment. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, assembling components, and installing finished products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career in the sheet metal industry.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Install ductwork (Rectangular, Round, Oval)
- Pookie seams and connections
- Installation of dampers and grills
- Set curbs for RTU's
- Fabricate sheet metal components
- Install sheet metal components in accordance with blueprints
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Strict adherence to all safety policies
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience within the commercial HVAC sheet metal field
- OSHA 10
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints
- Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
- Must be familiar with sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment
- Must be able to handle the physical workload
- Need to have access to reliable means of transportation
- Must have your own tools
- Must have problem solving and critical thinking skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
