Avidyne Corporation is at the forefront of the aviation industry, integrating advanced avionics into both conventional and novel advanced air mobility (AAM) aircraft. We are not just about creating products; we are about revolutionizing the way people fly.
As our Lead, Systems Integration, Test, and Certification Engineering, you'll play a pivotal role in steering advanced avionics from concept through FAA/EASA certification. You'll leverage your expertise in systems engineering and regulatory compliance to manage complex projects, interface with regulatory authorities, and lead a skilled engineering team. This is your opportunity to impact the cutting edge of avionics technology by bridging the gap between compliance and innovation.
Core responsibilities of our Lead, Systems Integration, Test & Certification Engineering include:
Expert Systems Engineering: Demonstrate your expertise by translating technical standards into detailed requirements for avionics systems and equipment levels, as well as leading complex projects through all phases of design, implementation, installation, and certification per FAA requirements.
Rigorous Certification Engineering: Manage FAA compliance and verification processes, create and review technical drawings and reports, and interface directly with FAA ACOs and DERs to ensure all aspects of compliance and certification are met.
Leadership and Strategy: Drive the recruitment, leadership, and development of our systems integration & certification engineering team. Manage resource allocation efficiently and play a key role in the strategic planning and execution of departmental objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with our hardware and software engineering teams to meet project requirements and certification milestones. Develop and author specifications, requirements, and test procedures for system software and hardware.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need a genuine enthusiasm for aviation coupled with a thirst for knowledge, as those qualities drive innovation within all our teams. Furthermore, a bachelor’s degree in systems, aerospace, or related engineering discipline, mastery-level knowledge of FAA TSO, STC, ASTM, AC and/or TC processes, and at least 9 years of avionics systems and software equipment integration experience is essential. Those with a pilot’s license or hours towards a license or rating will be given preference.
So, if you're passionate about aviation, innovation, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible, we want to hear from you. Join us at our headquarters in Melbourne, FL, and be part of a team that's shaping the future of flight.
